Former eBay CMO Robert Chatwani Joins Jivox’s Board of Directors

Marketing leader from world’s largest online marketplace brings expertise in driving meaningful customer experiences through data-driven personalization

SAN MATEO, Calif.–January 20, 2016–Jivox, provider of the leading platform for data-driven advertising and marketing, today announced it has appointed former eBay marketing executive Robert Chatwani to its board of directors.

Following a successful marketing career spanning more than a decade at eBay, most recently serving as chief marketing officer for eBay North America, Chatwani is currently chief revenue and marketing officer at Teespring, a leading social commerce platform.

“Robert is a world-class marketer who brings valuable experience and domain expertise to Jivox’s leadership team,” said Diaz Nesamoney, chairman and CEO. ”He has a deep understanding of the roles and unique needs of Jivox’s customers, namely brand marketers, CMOs and creative agencies.

Added Nesamoney, “Equally significant, eBay was an early pioneer in using data-driven marketing and advertising to deliver highly personalized customer interactions, and during Robert’s tenure became the world’s largest online marketplace. His real-world understanding for how brands can leverage their data assets to power data-driven marketing at scale is directly relevant to Jivox and its customers.”

Jivox enables the world’s top brands to produce and deliver highly personalized digital ad experiences. The company’s flagship Jivox IQ is a data-driven, dynamic ad platform that delivers in-app, display, mobile, video and native ads programmatically across all screens.

“The ability to seamlessly link creative, brand messaging and advertising allows marketers to deliver a much more meaningful customer experience to drive growth,” said Chatwani. “This capability remains the Holy Grail for today’s digital marketers, however, it’s still rarely seen in marketing technology.

Continued Chatwani, “Jivox is a standout in this market. It has one of the most robust platforms I’ve seen for data-driven advertising, with the simplicity that allows non-technology users to easily generate personalized ads. Some of the world’s biggest brands, publishers and creative agencies have adopted Jivox as their standard for ad tech. I look forward to helping guide Jivox as it moves from ‘strength to strength’ and gain even greater market adoption.”

In his current role as chief revenue and marketing officer at Teespring, Chatwani is responsible for overall customer growth, marketing, business development and revenue operations.

Previously he spent more than 12 years at eBay, most recently as chief marketing officer with responsibility for driving buyer and seller growth for eBay’s marketplace business. In earlier roles at eBay, Robert led integrated marketing and Internet marketing, including paid search, affiliate marketing, display advertising, SEO and partnerships.

Prior to eBay, he launched a consumer Internet marketplace and worked for McKinsey & Company. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from DePaul University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
